Joshua Tree National Park is a protected area located in southeastern California, United States. The park covers over 790,000 acres and is known for its unique rock formations and Joshua trees, which are a type of yucca plant. The park offers a variety of recreational activities, including hiking, rock climbing, stargazing, and wildlife viewing. It is a popular destination for tourists and outdoor enthusiasts and is located about 140 miles east of Los Angeles.

There are several dangers to be aware of when visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The park is known for its extreme temperatures, which can be dangerous for those who are not properly prepared. During the summer months, temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit, while winter nights can drop well below freezing. Visitors should bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing to protect themselves from the elements.

Additionally, the park's rugged terrain and rocky landscapes can pose hazards to hikers and climbers. Visitors should be aware of the risks associated with rock climbing and bouldering, and should only attempt these activities if they have experience and proper gear. The park's wildlife, including rattlesnakes, scorpions, and coyotes, can also be dangerous if not approached with caution.

Finally, visitors should be aware of the park's remote location and limited cell phone service. It's important to plan ahead and let someone know your itinerary before embarking on a hike or other outdoor activity.
